We're Stefan & Ekaterina. We built Adira from a kitchen in Sofia.
I didn't grow up with coffee. It came into my life in my early twenties — through Ekaterina, the woman who became my wife. We learned the craft together in a kitchen in Sofia, obsessing over grind size before we ever thought about a business.
Adira started as the cup we wanted every morning. Never meant to be a 'brand' — just the bag we kept coming back to.
This year we crossed to America. We walked the coffee aisles, picked up sixty bags. Most without a roast date. Half called 'premium'. None told us who grew the beans.
So we built what we'd actually drink. Specialty grade only. Roasted in California. Shipped in five days. The bag we'd brew in Sofia — made for the American kitchen we built it for.
